Healthcare Account Manager

About the role

As part of our strategic growth plans, we are expanding our direct sales team. The role will be focused on identifying and closing new business sales opportunities. Operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to both new and existing accounts within your region and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Overseeing customer account relationships, including negotiating new business contracts and agreements to ensure profitable growth from within your region.

Responsibilities

Developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.  Liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Service and Product Development departments and Finance) to improve the entire customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Selling the Insource product solutions to both the NHS and Private healthcare sector.
  • Professionally present and understand the company’s unique selling points and ensure these are communicated to potential customers.
  • Support and respond to company-wide marketing initiatives.
  • Engage and support any bid and tender activities relating to all new business requirements within your region.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Prepare reports on account status and maintain accurate client sales pipeline forecasts
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Work in collaboration with the marketing and services teams to organise client workshops, user groups and webinars on a regional and national basis.

About You

You will have worked in a Healthcare Software or Solutions organisation demonstrating effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

You are someone who can work in a dynamic growth environment managing your own time in line with the businesses accounting processes and reporting requirements.

You will be familiar with account management software (CRM). You have a flair for client communication and understanding consumer and market trends and behaviour from within the Healthcare sector.  You can build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and colleagues we’d like to meet you.

Skills and experience

  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role. Proven account management experience in the NHS IT sector is preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including executive and C-level
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or Gold Vision) and MS Office
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
