Proof of Concept

An important step in progressing through to the detailed planning stages is in delivering a functioning Proof of Concept for initial analysis and feedback. A PoC can realise some important objectives, identifying at an early stage fundamental issues to be overcome later, as well as helping to evaluate technology in a controlled yet 'real world' environment.

This stage can also sharply raising awareness within the organisation of the potential benefits of the project and encouraging participation. It's therefore an important stage to get right and ensure support is cultivated from this early work.
