The starting point can be surprisingly modest, all of our solutions start small and grow over time, giving the opportunity for essential change management.

Our solutions fall into 3 categories.

Integrated Business Intelligence
This is a strategic BI solution which consist of
- A data management layer taking data from source systems via Data Academy and presenting it to integrated vertical solutions from third parties and building a central data warehouse
- Integration of vertical solutions from niche providers to address specific initiatives
- A visualisation reporting tool
- A visualisation portal that brings together outputs from both the reporting tool and the integrated vertical solutions
The one common element of our solutions, is the data warehouse. This is the core foundation of the overall solution, for which we use Insource Data Academy® in conjunction with Microsoft® SQL Server 2005™.
Data Management Layer
This is arguably the most important part of the solution; as such it is implemented using Data Academy. We use this tool since it
- reduces the time and hence cost to development
- structures the data management process
- provides a highly maintainable implementation reducing the dependence on individual resources
Data is extracted from sources, and processed through a data quality layer. Once in the data warehouse, the source data is then transformed into outputs and data marts ready for either
- Presentation to any integrated Vertical Niche Solutions
- Visualisation via reporting tools using data marts
The data management layer also takes output from the vertical solutions, and combines them to provide cross solution reporting.
Vertical Niche Solutions
As well as producing a central data warehouse, this solution includes the capability of embracing any vertical niche application that may already have implemented. This is achieved by presenting them with data managed by Data Academy providing a consistent data interface for all integrated applications. The opportunity is therefore also available to integrate the results from these applications using the data academy managed environment.
In addition, integration with additional vertical applications from other niche providers is also possible allowing the solution to grow over time as the organisations requirements grow and change. This forms a complete integrated end to end information strategy.
Visualisation and Portal
Visualisation is combined into a single user access via a presentation portal such as Microsoft Sharepoint. Reporting is enabled via the vertical niche applications and additional reporting tools.

Data Warehousing
All of the data extraction, data quality management and transformations are performed in SQL Server 2005 using Data Academy. This provides a consistent, managed and maintainable environment
Reporting
Analyzer 2007 & SQL Server Reporting Services provide the reporting layers- Using Insource Data Academy to structure the development of OLAP CUBES, relational based reporting star schemas and datasets that simplify the process of producing visualisations.
Optionally Insource Data Academy Scorecard
An additional module which works seamlessly with the Insource Data Academy framework and reporting tools to provide an automated scorecard presentation capability.
