Here are a Selection of Soundbites from our Clients

“The Director of elective care and the project SRO has just this minute praised the data quality report that we sent through:. ‘Concise, to the point and very relevant and shared it with execs. We want gold standard’. Just got a thank you passing in the corridor…”

The Northern Care Alliance
"Insource are delivering data management service automation in data preparation to assist us to deliver our vision for business intelligence, data science and predictive analytics with IOT, AI and machine learning for the whole of the The Regenda Group"

The Regenda Group
"The use of HDE and the DA development environment automates and standardises the developer processes, this not only increases our efficiency but reduces risk and dependency on individuals"

Tracy Sowersby, Assistant Director of Information Services
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

"Using Data Academy enforces a rigor of development approach that removes a dependence on any one individual becoming a single point of failure. Anybody on my team can look into a Data Academy development and rapidly get to grips with what is going on. This reassurance protects us against problems caused by unexpected staff turnover."
Ben Hickman Systems Developer Manager, Finance
Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust

“As a technology team, we have inherited the HDE product suite from our predecessors and over time have seen a complete change in our team members, from Associate Information Director and through the ranks. The use of HDE has provided the trust with business continuity. All new staff have continued to use and benefit from the complete technology stack contained within the HDE product suite and Data Academy (DA).”

Helen Nicholls, Head of Information
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust

"Managing and sharing data within and across the NHS is essential. In 10 years time the way in which the NHS manages data (and the majority of NHS trusts data management systems) will look totally different from what they are now. As such the HDE product suite will need to be replicated across the whole NHS so that everyone benefits. The whole automated process gives us repeatability through structured data collection, storing and reporting.“

Tracy Sowersby, Assistant Director of Information Services
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

"Patient Pathway Plus is the best and most complete solution for validation that I have seen. There is no reason why every trust in the NHS shouldn’t be using this system (PP+)"

Louise Topliss, General Manager of Performance
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

“We no longer have to run our systems with a series of manually initiated processes. Now with automation we have large efficiency gains through eliminating day to day manual efforts.”

Jon Lawton, Head of Business Development
Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust

“The automation of data in HDE and the production of the Unified Data Layer gives us the added value of creating new reports easily and quickly. It’s very much a self-service capability which leads to us being ultra-efficient."

Tracy Sowersby, Assistant Director of Information Services &
Derek Wrightson, Information Manager
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

“We now have evidence and auditability of how our data is produced, if anything fails we are able to identify the root of the problem. Our development team can tell me what has gone wrong in five minutes rather than the hour or more that was previously the case. This complete transparency provides us with confidence in our data through a consistent output and one version of the truth.”

Steve Chokr, CIO
Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust

"I was especially keen that our data warehouse tool was not a ‘black box’, and Data Academy certainly isn’t – its processes are transparent and it’s reassuring that nothing is hidden. We can always see what’s happened to our data at every step of the way."

Julie Ryan, Head of Information and Analysis
Bolton CCG

“We are able to work with other organisations who are leveraging Insource products to drive their digital strategy. We have been successfully collaborating with other trusts, South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust for example, where we are sharing code and solutions built with Insource products.”
Steve Chokr, CIO
Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust

"Due to its clever technology, we were able to build modules and components ourselves when we thought they were needed and ship them back to Insource. Insource would then incorporate them into the actual product that would be released back to their user community, including us."

Paul Johnson, Former Assistant Director of Information
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust

"No more spreadsheets, everything now recorded centrally, no duplication, no waste, nothing lost and all auditable"

Tracy Sowersby, Assistant Director of Information Services
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

"Our new implementation of PP + went live last week! The process was exceptionally well organised and run by the Insource team, who took full responsibility for the whole of the technology aspects, leaving us free to continue on with our day jobs uninterrupted. Very refreshing."

Helen Nicholls, Head of Information
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust

"Although we had an in-house developed RTT solution PP+ goes way beyond what our old in-house developed system was able to do. Again it’s not until you see what can be achieved that you realise the restrictions that you place on yourselves by using low functionality in-house developed solutions"

Tracy Sowersby, Assistant Director of Information Services
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

“When we migrated from our old Patient Administration System (PAS) - iSoft Clinicom to DXC Lorenzo, we were able to make all the key reports available to the trust from day one.

As all of the data and reports were already in HDE they were unaffected by the system migration because of the “plug and play” functionality embedded within HDE.

It’s a massively hectic time migrating between systems, for us it was made much simpler using HDE as we didn’t have to rewrite any reports from scratch. Through the use of HDE, we had the luxury to ensure all the reports had been developed in the year before go live.

Everything had been provisioned for pre go-live, so that the day of switch over went through without worry. "

Helen Nicholls, Head of Information
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust

"I’ve found that Data Academy reduces overall development time significantly – it takes away the need to develop many of the mundane elements of the job."

Andrew Penny, Systems Architect
Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust

“DA is our equivalent of the fifth Beatle.”

Steve Chokr, CIO
Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust

“The turnaround time for creating a robust data warehouse with full error-handling ETL processes can be cut significantly when using Data Academy.”

Ian Macbeth - Head of IT
Furniture Village

"It's great to be part of the CWP-Insource Winning Team. Another successful project delivered in less time than expected in spite of a constantly moving set of objectives and circumstances!"

Andrew Haws, Head of Information Management & Business Intelligence
Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

“The full option appraisal is so very helpful, informative, detailed and well structured. It is just what I was looking for and meets all objectives. Thank you so much.”

North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust
“The adoption of Data Academy completely eliminated our dependence on any individual within the project. Our projects are much better controlled and managed, and developer efficiency using Data Academy is far higher than with them working directly with SQL Server. As such, the risks of projects failing or going off track are now virtually zero.”

Grace Birch, Associate Director for IT
Bolton CCG

“Data Academy mitigates the risk to the business of team members “being hit by a bus”, succession planning is not an issue for us. We now have ownership of the process without the dependency on individuals.”

Steve Chokr, CIO
Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust

Using Data Academy ensures a rigour and consistency of development, and ensures the developments are not reliant on any one person. It was key to us that the tools did not produce a ‘black box’-type solution

Darren Birks, Information Management Architect
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust

"By using the Insource platforms, our solution has been developed to exacting, professional software development standards – such that it can be deployed and used by any other trust using the SystemOne Community System."

Lee Rickels, Head of Innovation and Programmes
Humber NHS Foundation Trust

“Automation of data is essential and inevitable if you want to become a data driven organisation. Health Data Enterprise (HDE) is designed and built to work in any trust, while still being incredibly flexible to meet local needs while maintaining standardisation.”

Tracy Sowersby, Assistant Director of Information Services
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

"In the past we had a lot of reports in various places which made them not only difficult to find but difficult to maintain. Now, all our core reports are run out of our Health Data Enterprise (HDE) environment and are therefore easy to manage and are instantly accessible.”

David Knowles, System Development Manager &
Helen Nicholls, Head of Information
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust

“One of the biggest benefits of Patient Pathway Plus (PP+) is the single source of data that we get from it. Prior to the implementation of PP+ we were unable to locate data needed across our three SQL servers. "

Jon Lawton, Head of Business Development
Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust

"We now have a verified true representation of the Trust’s position because of the complete transparency provided by the underlying Health Data Enterprise (HDE) architecture inherent in PP+.

Previously I did not have visibility of which data and business rules had been applied to generate the PTL (Patient Tracking List) or the report that shows our RTT position. With PP+ we have complete confidence in the data and are able to deep dive into the data and business rules. The key is that everything is maintained in a controlled and fully automated software environment. “

Jon Lawton, Head of Business Development
Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust

We were able to exchange pieces of work with South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. Acute Health Data Enterprise’s standardisation gives us a platform to share reports and other developments, so we enable others to share in our success. This means we’re helping the NHS as a whole and not just our own trust.

Tracy Sowersby, Assistant Director of Information Services
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

"You have tremendous control on how PP+ can be set up to work how you want, you can really fine tune it – it has enormous configuration capability, there is nothing you can’t configure it for, there are no restrictions on how you can work with it"

Tracy Sowersby, Assistant Director of Information Services
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

"On day one of go-live we were also able to make our statutory submissions such as CDS and RTT without disruption or delay."

Helen Nicholls, Head of Information
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust

"Previously our CDS submission used to take 10 man days to do and we could only do it at the end of the month. Now we can do it on a daily basis, it is as simple as a click of a button."

Steve Chokr, CIO
Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust

"Prior to Patient Pathway Plus, Trust staff were validating pathways from a distributed excel based PTL, with no audit trail and no ability to see how many people were validating what pathway. Now that we have PP+ we can foresee that spreadsheets will be eliminated from our processes and that the traditional excel list reporting of PTL’s will be a thing of the past. PP+ will provide a significantly better method of patient management."

Louise Topliss, General Manager of Performance
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

What transpired after this project completed was probably the greatest success – in that we successfully migrated from our old PAS to our new PAS with minimum disruption, and were able to keep our enterprise data management solution in place.

Mike Sheel, IM Manager
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust

“We set ourselves a goal of being the first trust to be able to report continuously through the cutover from the old PAS to the new EPR – and we achieved it!

We wouldn’t have been able to achieve that without the Insource data management platform.”

Tracy Sowersby, Assistant Director of Information Services
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

"Data Academy is quicker than writing solutions from the ground up. If we didn't have Data Academy our team would need to be at least double in size as we would need more people across the technology spectrum to achieve what we are able to achieve with Data Academy.

There is complete control of the software development environment provided by HDE and Data Academy. It is brilliant and the flexibility it affords is key to our success"

Steve Chokr, CIO
Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust

“Using Data Academy is now just a way of life for us. It fits into our ‘business as usual’, and we like to think of the product as an essential member of our team!”

Julie Ryan, Head of Information and Analysis
Bolton CCG

“Insource’s Acute Health Data Enterprise product is the heart of our data management strategy and has been a critical enabler – not only for delivering projects successfully, but also in achieving a sustainable, expandable platform that grows with us as we uncover new reporting and information needs.”

Tracy Sowersby, Assistant Director of Information Services
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

"The combination of the Insource team, CWP staff and the underlying Data Academy technologies provides the foundation on which we are now able to build a long term data and information strategy. The Managed DaaS contract we have in place has proven to be the most effective way to provide high grade professional technical services with consistency and predictability with minimal management overhead by the trust."

Mandy Skelding-Jones, Associate Director of Performance and Redesign
Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
